2027 Young Artist Competition

RULES AND REGULATIONS

ONLINE APPLICATION DEADLINE
Saturday, January 30, 2027
(Including application, associated materials, and non-refundable $40 entry fee).

• Entries without Teacher Recommendation Letter will not be accepted.
• Finalists will be chosen and invited for in-person auditions by Tuesday, February 9, 2027.

IN-PERSON FINALISTS’ AUDITION
Sunday, February 28, 2027

• In-person auditions will be held at the DaVinci Center for Musical Arts – 555 Alter Street in Broomfield
• Students MUST bring their own accompanist and have their entire piece memorized to be considered.
• Instrumentalists playing a multi-movement concerto will be asked to play the entire first movement as well as portions of other movements at the discretion of the Audition Committee.
• Vocalists will be asked to sing all their selection(s) or portions chosen at the Committee’s discretion.
• Please have measure numbers marked, as judges may ask for a specific passage to be played.

WINNERS’ ANNOUNCED & NOTIFIED
Saturday, March 6, 2027

WINNERS’ CONCERT
Saturday, May 22, 2027

• Winners will be required to attend several rehearsals and a dress rehearsal prior to the concert.
