Audition date and location are not negotiable; however, an alternate date will be provided in the event of severe weather. Any minor must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian or the parent/guardian's adult designee at the audition, rehearsals, and the performance. The only exception shall be when the minor is performing on stage.
8. In-person auditions will take place before an Audition Committee. Pieces must be accompanied and memorized.
9. Applicants must supply their own accompanist for the in-person audition. Both the applicant and accompanist will have use of grand pianos.
10. Applicants will be judged on mastery of their musical or vocal instrument, as well as stage presence.

They will be invited to perform with the Orchestra at the May 11, 2024 concert and will be notified of required rehearsal and concert dates.
12. A $750.00 award will be provided to each winner either at the May 2024 concert or mailed to their address on file. This will be the total amount whether a winner performs a single movement or a complete concerto.
13. Transportation to or from the in-person audition, rehearsals, and the concert is not provided.
14. Winners agree to provide a head shot photo and bio to be used by the BSO for marketing purposes. They also agree to sign a Release of Audio, Photograph, and Video Agreement.
